Show Us Your Live - Favorite Vacation Spot

I almost don't even want to publicize my favorite vacation spot because I don't want more people to find out about it. Jason and I have traveled to many places and we have sworn that we WILL return to The Caves in Jamaica.

The Caves is an all inclusive resort. If there wasn't a server at the bar for any reason you were to go pour your own drink! There was no menu at breakfast because they had whatever you desired. Jason was in heaven... he ordered everything he could think of each morning. The staff was incredible. They just laughed and brought it all out!

There are only ELEVEN rooms on the property. So if you are looking for a romantic, quiet, special get-away... this is it!

This is the pathway to our room...

This was our room or cottage...

I about died when I saw that our shower was outside!!! However, I came to LOVE it! There is something to be said about taking a shower outside.. (don't worry.. it was completely private).

One of the beautiful views.

Jason and I got up really early every morning and claimed the same spot... There were two chairs right down from the eating area and pool. (That's me.. doing what I love to do.. read a book and enjoy the ocean...)

We had our own shower right off the side of the cliff to rinse the salt water off. If we went down another set of steps from here we had our own swimming platform.

The view from our chairs...

There are several platforms meant for you to jump off and down into the ocean. It took us the entire trip to build up the nerve to jump off the highest one. I don't think you can fully understand how high it is until your standing on the cliff about to jump. We just couldn't leave without having done it. We both jumped only once...
Jason's turn...

This hole is ALMOST comical. It's located toward the back of the property near our room. You have to be so careful not to just fall right in! The resort is so laid back. If you want to snorkel.. then you snorkel.. go grab your gear and go! So one afternoon (or several) we did just that.. Here is where we would enter the cave...

Jason went first and with a waterproof camera (sorry for the bad quality) took my picture jumping down...

A self portrait in the water!

A view looking back at the property... Notice the window with the blue shutters?

Upon arriving at The Caves you have to decide which night you want your private jacuzzi and private cave dinner. Inside that window is this room.. the private jacuzzi! They fill it just for you and have a fruit tray and champagne waiting on you!

This was our view at sunset on our night.. As if on cue two dolphins swam by... We couldn't get over this place!!

The next night we had our cave dinner.

This picture is from the resort website. We didn't get a very good picture. The waiter runs back and forth to the kitchen bringing down each course. There is music playing and more candles than you can imagine.

Here is the picture we took...believe it or not I'm in the photo! If we used the flash you lost the candles....

a little closer... the ocean was lapping into the cave right beside us...

If you go.. book early.. they fill up fast.
